Xie Feng

H.E. Xie Feng is the 12th Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the United States of America. Ambassador Xie arrived in the United States in May 2023 to assume office.Ambassador Xie previously served as Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Indonesia from 2014-2017, and as Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from 2017-2021. He was Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China from 2021-2023.Prior to his ambassadorship to the United States, he had served two terms in the country, respectively as Counselor and Spokesperson from 2000-2003, and as Deputy Chief of Mission from 2008-2010 at the Chinese Embassy.
