Biography
Aaron David Miller is a Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a former State Department Middle East analyst, adviser and negotiator in Republican and Democratic Administrations from Jimmy Carter to George W. Bush. For twenty five years he helped formulate US policy on the Arab-Israeli conflict and participated in negotiations between Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and the Palestinians. He is the author most recently of the End of Greatness: Why America Can’t Have (and Doesn’t Want) Another Great President; and a frequent commentator on CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg, NPR and BBC. His articles have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Foreign Policy and Foreign Affairs.
