Joey is a passionate believer in the power of entrepreneurship to drive prosperity and societal success. As a Partner and SVP of Growth at The Outpost, he specializes in helping companies secure government contracts in the defense industry, with a specific focus on creating more dual-use billion-dollar companies. Previously, Joey served as the Chief Scaling Officer for DoD’s Platform One, where he streamlined operations to accelerate the authorization of commercial software for use on Department of Defense systems. As an Air Force Veteran and Reservist, Joey co-founded AFWERX & AFVentures, connecting entrepreneurs and innovators to accelerate technology adoption and drive Air Force culture change. With a strong record of ecosystem building and entrepreneurial leadership, Joey is driven by mission and passion for innovation in government, as well as an avid soccer player and hiker in the Rocky Mountains. When not working, he loves reading sci-fi and fantasy books.
