Foreign Area Officer, U.S. Army
Jarod Taylor is a foreign area officer in the U.S. Army. He began his career as an infantry officer with assignments in the 82d Airborne Division, 3d Cavalry Regiment (Stryker), and 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Jarod was seconded to NATO while assigned to Headquarters NATO Land Command, and later he was a Cyber Policy Advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a fellow. He has deployed to Haiti, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Turkey. Jarod is a previous recipient of the General Wayne A. Downing Scholarship from the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point and the Harold W. Rosenthal Fellowship in International Relations. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the U.S. Military Academy and a Master’s Degree from the Yale University Jackson Institute for Global Affairs.
