Admiral Samuel Paparo is the Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, overseeing 380,000 personnel across 36 nations. A TOPGUN-qualified naval aviator with over 6,000 flight hours in F-14, F-15, and F/A-18 aircraft and 1,100 carrier landings, his operational command tours at sea include Strike Fighter Squadron 195, Carrier Air Wing 7, and Carrier Strike Group Ten. Joint assignments include Provincial Reconstruction Team, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan; Combined Air and Space Operations Center, Qatar; and U.S. Central Command. Prior to his current assignment, he was the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
