Michael Pillsbury is the author of the international bestseller “The Hundred Year Marathon: China’s Secret Strategy to Replace America as the Global Superpower” and a book published by the National Defense University Press “China Debates the Future Security Environment.” He earned a BA in history from Stanford University and a PhD in political science from Columbia University. In the Reagan administration, he was Assistant Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Planning and affiliated for four decades with the Office of Net Assessment.
