Victoria Murrieta is a public policy and international relations professional with expertise in national security, multilateral affairs, cross-border trade, and migration management. She focuses on the intersection of foreign and domestic policy, leveraging U.S. global engagement to strengthen security cooperation. As a Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, she worked with partners across Europe and the Western Hemisphere to advance joint policy initiatives and coordinated DHS’s participation in high-level multilateral forums. Before this, she served as Special Assistant to the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, leading agency-wide strategic initiatives. She was also a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Representative Juan Vargas, advising on border issues, foreign affairs, and defense. A native of San Diego, Victoria holds a Master of Science in foreign service from Georgetown University and is fluent in Spanish, Italian, French, and Turkish. Outside of work, she enjoys tennis, yoga, and visiting the closest beach.
