Kari Bingen is the Director of the Aerospace Security Project and a Senior Fellow in the Defense and Security Department at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. She previously served as the U.S. Senate-confirmed Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security, overseeing the nation’s defense intelligence and security enterprises. She also served as policy director on the House Armed Services Committee and staff lead for its Strategic Forces Subcommittee. Prior to joining CSIS, Kari was Chief Strategy Officer at HawkEye 360 and held roles supporting U.S. defense and intelligence community organizations, specializing in national security space issues.
