Mia Batiste joins the Aspen Strategy Group as a recent graduate of the University of San Diego, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Spanish. She is continuing a dual-degree program at USD to receive her MA in International Relations with a focus on national security and defense. Mia recently took a travel seminar course within her program to Brussels to visit the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the European Union Headquarters. She focused her research on the NATO PA’s Defense and Security Committee (DSC) and the evolving nature of modern warfare, taking lessons from Ukraine’s defense industrial base. She is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada.
