Senior Policy Analyst, U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Brianne Yoo is a Senior Policy Analyst at the Department of Homeland Security responsible for leading internal DHS coordination to develop unified policy positions and strategic approaches on matters related to critical infrastructure, community resilience, and climate change. Prior to this role, she spent five years at DHS Components – CISA and FEMA. Her UN internship in NY and a public health course in Switzerland sparked her interest in sustainable development and disaster risk reduction. Brianne was a Boren Fellow in Japan conducting research on policies implemented after the Fukushima accident. Her graduate capstone project included fieldwork in Brazil conducting a feasibility study in scaling up Waste-to-Energy technology. She is currently pursuing a post-baccalaureate certificate specializing in China at the National Intelligence University. She earned an MPA from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She is fluent in Korean, speaks and reads Japanese, and has studied German.
