Shannon is a public diplomacy practitioner living in Denver, Colorado. At WorldDenver, Shannon oversees the Denver metro area’s participation in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and WorldDenver’s advocacy efforts in support of international exchanges. Through the IVLP, the U.S. Department of State’s flagship professional exchange, Shannon connects rising global leaders with their Colorado counterparts in support of U.S. foreign policy goals. Shannon previously interned with the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, an experience that sparked her love for exchange programming. She received her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida and her M.A. in International Studies with a specialization in Public Diplomacy from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. Shannon was born and raised in England, where both of her parents served in the U.S. Air Force. She speaks French and Russian.
