Roxana Saberi is an independent journalist, writer and storyteller with more than two decades of experience as a foreign and domestic correspondent. Over the past year, she has covered Iran extensively from the United States, contributing to The New York Times, TIME and The Times.
Saberi previously served as a correspondent for CBS News, based in London, Chicago and New York, reporting across Europe, the US and the Middle East.
From 2003 to 2009, she was based in Iran, reporting from the country and across the region for multiple outlets. In 2009, Saberi was wrongfully imprisoned in Tehran’s Evin Prison for 100 days. After her release, she authored the memoir “Between Two Worlds” and became an advocate for press freedom and human rights.
