David E. Sanger is White House and National Security Correspondent for the New York Times. In a 44-year career at the Times, he has served on three teams that won the Pulitzer prize. He is the author of four books on American foreign policy, including “The Perfect Weapon: War, Sabotage and Fear in the Cyber Age” and “New Cold Wars: China’s Rise, Russia’s Invasion and America’s struggle to Defend the West.” Both were made into HBO documentaries. Mr. Sanger also teaches national security at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government with Graham Allison.
