U.S. Foreign Affairs and Defense Correspondent, Financial Times
Felicia Schwartz is the Financial Times‘ U.S. foreign affairs and defense correspondent and is based in Washington, DC. She is responsible for the paper’s U.S. national security coverage, including writing about the Department of State, the Department of War, the National Security Council, and the U.S. intelligence community. She regularly travels with the Secretary of War, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and the Secretary of State, and has reported from more than 40 countries. Before joining the FT in 2022, she spent eight years at The Wall Street Journal where she was the State Department Correspondent and then the Israel/Palestinian Territories Correspondent and oversaw the paper’s coverage of Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, and Jordan. A native of Harrison, NY, she has a degree in history and geography from Dartmouth College.
