Intelligence Officer, U.S. Navy
Tushar Madan is an active-duty U.S. Navy Officer, specializing in the Indo-Pacific. He currently serves in the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He has deployed to several locations overseas, including a tour as the U.S. Navy Intelligence embed to the Australian Defence Force in Canberra, where he led analysis and operations countering regional threats, and as a Strike Intelligence lead for a Carrier Air Wing, culminating in a WestPac deployment aboard the USS NIMITZ. Tushar is a Doctoral Candidate in Public Policy and Political Economy, with a research focus on economic coercion between Great Powers. He holds BAs in International Affairs and Economics from The George Washington University and an MS in International Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas. Away from his professional pursuits, Tushar is an aspiring Divemaster, always planning his next overseas adventure, and remains a loyal fan of his Dallas sports teams.
