Cyber Operations Officer, U.S. Space Force
Alex Tymchenko is a Captain in the U.S. Space Force currently serving as Operations Officer and Cyber Warfare Operator for U.S. Cyber Command. In this role, he leads the tactical planning and execution of cyber effects operations in support of global information warfare campaigns. Alex grew up in Lake Oswego, Oregon and attended Yale University, where he received dual B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Sciences. Upon graduation, he commissioned into the U.S. Air Force and served in various space and cyber operations assignments, including cyber defense of satellite communications and space-based missile warning systems. In April 2021, he commissioned into the U.S. Space Force as part of the initial cadre of cyber warfare professionals selected to stand-up the new service. Alex is currently stationed at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.
