Communications Director, U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Jim Risch
Suzanne is a longtime communications aide in the U.S. Senate, with a career working for leaders of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC). Originally from Illinois, Suzanne relocated to Washington, D.C. in 2010 and began her work in the Senate Republican Conference under Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.). She then served as deputy press secretary and press secretary to Senator Richard Lugar (R-Indiana), during his final years as ranking member of SFRC. Following his retirement, Suzanne moved to the office of Senator Jim Risch, serving as his press secretary and communications director, and then as his director of outreach and policy adviser on the Small Business Committee during his time as chairman. Senator Risch became chairman of SFRC in 2019, and Suzanne has served as communications director since that time. Suzanne graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia with a B.A. in political science and communications, with a minor in Spanish.
